About the Department

  • Oral pathology presents confluence of basic sciences and clinical dentistry. Oral biology is concerned with science and symptoms of oral diseases. Oral pathologist attempts to understand oral diseases so that they can be properly diagnosed adequately treated. If Dentistry is a big tree with many clinical fruit bearing Branches then subjects DADH and Oral Pathology form the Roots of this Tree, where we guide the students to learn normal growth and development.

Oral Pathology is the specialty of dentistry that investigates the cause, nature, process and effects of diseases. The department of Oral Pathology is involved in training the undergraduate BDS students regarding Dental Anatomy, Embryology and Oral Histology and is essential for understanding the nature, etio-pathogenesis, histopathology and prognosis of diseases of oral hard and soft tissues.
